The Faceless Generation

We are the generation that has no face. We are the Facebook generation, yet we are faceless. We hide behind our monitors; we hide behind our screens. We communicate through "the cloud" rather than that small set of space between the gaze of one pair of eyes and another. No wonder we cannot look each other in the eye, we are too busy looking down. For down is where our keyboards lie, and our cell phones, and our iPods. We are the generation that looks down to ask the question, "What's up?"

Oh Feet

Oh Feet, Oh Feet
Your Wisdom I Seek.
Tell me the Tales of Being my Feet.

You Know where I've Been,
And you Know where I'm Going.
You're the Foundation that is always Knowing.

The Mountains you've Climbed.
The Paths you have Trodden.
Even those Paths which I have Forgotten.

But you Never Forget.
You Remember each Step
So I'm always in debt for the secrets you've kept.

And sometimes I Wonder,
Am I truly Free?

Do I tell my Feet where to Go,
Or do they Tell me?

Welcome

There is a time of reckoning in all our lives. Whether we expect it or not; whether we realize it or not, each of us will face a time when we will be forced to decide what we count to be true, and how we are going to respond as a result. The effects of such decisions will last a lifetime, and most importantly, will make life worth its time.

So, if you are reading this, then maybe you are at a time of reckoning of your own, and if you've come this far, perhaps you are willing to come a little further. I do not know where this path will lead, or how long it will continue, but such mysteries are common in life, and are often the mysteries most worth discovering. I will be hoping this blog finds you, and finds you well.

Truly,

Horatio Drive
